New music!

Okay, so I managed to get my hands on the new Paramore album Brand New Eyes a few days before it’s released and I cannot stop listening to it. While it doesn’t have the same kind of appeal as Riot! had for me, it is still excellent. Pretty much I’m a whore for Paramore though so I’ll listen to anything they do. I recommend it.

Holy fucksticks!

Holy crapballs! Hold the freaking presses.

Izzy’s writing!

A whole 1500 words in one night! The most I’ve written in almost two months in a single sitting so far! And it’s even funny! Though that might be the amaretto sour I’m currently enjoying talking ….

What can I say? The dance music playlist I compiled earlier in the day put me in the mood for some funny writing. Before it was too emo and Debbie Downier to be the right tone for the story. There’s no emo a little J. Timberlake can’t cure. Just saying.

Good looks and great brains

I keep getting a lot of interesting looks this morning. I can’t quite decide why but I have a feeling. I’m wearing super short denim shorts and a white button up blouse with the sleeves rolled up. So maybe it’s those “oh wow…..” looks. Especially considering most of them are coming from guys.

I was sitting doing some work this morning before class and one of the women from the admissions office here at school came up to me to ask me about my Dell 10″ Inspiron mini laptop. After extolling its virtues and how I would recommend it in an instant compared to the other netbooks on the market, the woman complimented me. “Well, I wanted to ask you … because well … you know … you actually have a brain.” Big smile from me after that. So not only am I looking cute/sexy in my outfit today but I also can string together a coherent sentence.
This popped on my rotation this morning and I really liked it. I’ve never listened to it in its entirety before this morning and besides the great thrumming bass line, the lyrics are great.

Songs that are in my head lately

This song is just so fucking rocking. I can’t stop listening to it. I know there are some people who absolutely hate Chat Kroger and I can perfectly understand that, but I don’t know … I love him. I love this song and I dance around my apartment to it. Aside from the obvious sexual overtones, it’s just a great beat. I love songs like that. Songs that make me want to dance … on stage or on a pole. Yes, I would totally strip to this song.

And this song? Just a classic. Popped onto my Ipod this morning and made me remember how much I love it. So chill and yet so meaningful.
